Performances in Uganda: Romeo and Juliet in Kampala

The rehearsal time was over, the first performances in Cologne and Dusseldorf were successfull and the main part of the team traveled back home to Uganda. Now the first series of performances of "Romeo and Juliet in Kampala" took place in Uganda. For this purpose Viola Hilbing and Simon Eifeler from bridgeworks traveled from Germany to the Ugandan capital Kampala.

Here four performances were planned. After brief rehearsals, the first performance took place on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Bar One54. The audience was excited. This was followed by the second performance the next day in the Uganda Museum in the city center. About 60 people came to the "Independence Hall". The third performance took place outside Kampala at the Tender Talents Magnet School in Kisemeti. Almost 150 students were spellbound watching the performance, which was staged in English as well as the local dialect Luganda.
